Irah was born from a shared love of abayas between a mother and daughter.

Founded by Sarah and Ifrah, the name Irah is a combination of both of their names — a reflection of the bond that inspired the brand from the very beginning.

Having lived in Saudi Arabia for nearly three decades, abayas have always been part of our everyday lives. What began as years of designing pieces for ourselves slowly grew into a desire to share that love with other women.

Inspired by both our Somali heritage and Saudi influence, Irah blends timeless modesty with understated elegance, intentional design, and everyday wearability.
